Hydrosol Information
Hydrosols are also known as Floral Water or Distillate Water. It is the water that remains in the still after distilling an Essential Oil.
The plant matter used in Essential Oil distillation adds a wonderful and useful aroma to the water use in distillation. This Hydrosol offers therapeutic benefits and is also used for aromatherapy. Many plants are actually distilled for the actual Hydrosol instead of the Essential Oil.
Hydrosols are used to create facial toners and other skin care products. They can be added to the bath, used as cologne or body spray (great for Hot Flashes), to freshen linens and towels and as air fresheners.
